Geologic office and Guest’s House

Built around 1940, the geologic mining office (Borgo Montevecchio – Arbus) now hosts the Mineralogical Museum, exhibiting a significant mineral collection including pieces from different parts of Italy.
Guest’s House buildings (Borgo Montevecchio – Arbus) are fine edifices, sunk in the greenery, once hosting the employees. Their architectural style is particularly refined and strikingly different from that of structures meant for the workers. A wide room at the ground floor has seen the most important feasts and ceremonies of Montevecchio community in the golden age of the mine.
