Lunamatrona, Museum of the Territory ‘Sa Corona Arrubia’

Laying on a natural amphitheatre of red basalt in the area of ‘Sa corona arrubia’, the Museum is aimed at showing animal and vegetal species from Marmilla and from the rest of Sardinia as well, by means of dioramas, modern three-dimensional reproductions of Giara woodlands and of many other habitats. The Museum is divided in different theme sections: botanics, fauna, geology and anthropology. Following a visit to the Museum, all that is visible inside may be also admired from life by enjoying a trip on a panoramic chair lift, reaching the plateau of the nearby territory of Siddi.
