Vivere la campagna
The Museum, privately owned, has been organized inside an ancient 18th-century house. The exhibition is structured into four rooms: the first one displays traditional Sardinian knives, including a few remarkable creations of the 16th century; the second one contains the most representative production of Sardinian contemporary cutlers; the third exhibits the best items of the cutlery firm ‘Coltelleria l'Arburesa’. The last room hosts the reconstruction of an ancient blacksmith’s workshop (in Sardinian language: su ferreri), containing last century’s equipment, such as a pair of bellows, a flywheel drill, a pedal-operated spring and an old anvil. Moreover, the courtyard of the Museum displays the biggest knife of the world, which entered the Guinness World Records in 1986.
