At the heart of the old centre is located the parish church of San Leonardo Confessore, built in the 16th century. Its existence is confirmed by two manuscripts in Spanish language kept in the Diocese archive of Ales, where the church is mentioned in relation to some offerings. The edifice shows a Latin cross plan, with single nave, barrel vault and annexed sacristy. Another large religious edifice is the church of San Cristoforo, raised in the 17thcentury; it was probably the first church of the village. Close to the building lays an ancient monumental cemetery, suggesting that the origin of the church might be dated back to several centuries earlier, although no documents have been found to support such hypothesis.
