  1. The knife is the first tool created by man and, from prehistoric flint to modern steel, has always formed part of his history
Over time, the progress made in metallurgy improved the efficiency of this tool. In the area
of the Mid Campidano, the origins of knife crafting have their roots deep in the past; starting
from Nuragic times astride the II millennium BC; in the mining area of Montevecchio which
had rich ore beds, the technique of bronze production was known, as shown by important
    archaeological findings...
  2. The master steel craftsmen
After a few decades of crisis in the sector, due to the competition of industrial products, in the 1980s the Sardinian knife came into its own as a high-quality model, becoming famous the world over. The tourist boom and the renewed interest in the local handicraft tradition
as a mark of identity; together with the technical advances of Sardinian knifemakers - who nowadays also use new techniques and materials - have given the Sardinian knife newfound international popularity.
