The Medio Campidano: a province that gather under a common denominator: hospitality and gastronomy, tradition and culture, nature and spare time.
A micro-cosmos with thousand of implications,capable to capture the look of the
most careless people.
A territory unbeaten by the mass tourists,which still offers uncontaminated glimpses
and that welcomes the traveller in a uncustomary places.
A land, which suggests plenty of itineraries immerged in a landscape where culture and environment match harmonically.


THE MEDIO CAMPIDANO IS A UNIQUE ENVIRONMENT.
The untouched nature predominates as a queen with its rounded hills, blue sea and uneven coast.

THE MEDIO CAMPIDANO IS SEA: THE COSTA VERDE.
A desert environment, almost wild, which interchange between tall dunes and deformed juniper that hange on to the gold sand. The Costa Verde’s seacoast is wide 47 kilometres, with sandy and rocky beaches and a transparent blue sea.

THE MEDIO CAMPIDANO IS HILL: THE SWEET HILLS OF THE MARMILLA.
In the hinterland, the landscape, is softened by the green hills, whose shapes kidnap the look.

THE MEDIO CAMPIDANO IS MOUNTAIN: THE LINAS’S RANGE.
The granites’ mountain is the tallest in the South of Sardinia which overbear
the south west of the island. The relief, one of the most ancient in Europe,
is bounded of cork and live oaks, waterfalls and other endemic species.
Immerged in a naturalistic environment of extraordinary beauty, are visible the mining villages of Montevecchio ed Ingurtosu, which remember the old economic matrix.

THE MEDIO CAMPIDANO IS BIO-DIVERSITY: THE GIARA PLATEAU.
The noiseless which binds this vast basaltic plateau, suggests walks in the nature, where discover the luxuriant Mediterranean bushes which scents steal the minds and where the innocence of the wild horses enchant and astonish the lucky visitors.

THE MEDIO CAMPIDANO IS THE MIDDLE OF THE NURAGICAL CULTURE.
The Medio Campidano is an environment rich of history that has so much to offer to who visit its land, since it is pilled by ancient pre-nuragic and nuragic splendours, castles ruins, small pastoral churches and megalithic tombs:
Barumini: the nuragic fortress of “Su Nuraxi”, recognized by the UNESCO as worldwide heritage and the Museum Complex of Casa Zapata;
Villanovaforru: “Gennamaria”’s Nuraghe and the Museum Centre and the Cultural Researches;
Sardara: The “Neapolitane’s roman thermal baths already used by the earliest Sardinian people, as certified by the nearest nuraghe;
Siddi: “Sa Domu e S’Orku”, it is the greatest giant tomb in Sardinia, built with basaltic rows;
Villanovafranca: The nuragic fortress of “Su Mulinu”, the only one endowed with votive altar.

THE MEDIO CAMPIDANO IS THE TYPICAL TASTE OF YORE.
The Medio Campidano, has been able to preserve the taste of yore, typical of the farmer world. To the gourmets, the land proposes gastronomic breaks, where savouring the old recipes still made with the simple and genuine ingredients as: the bread and the homemade pastas, the saffron and wild herbs,the legumes, the artichokes, the Olive Oil, the Goat and Ovine Cheeses, the salami, the traditional sweets, the honey, the liqueurs.

THE MEDIO CAMPIDANO IS TRADITIONAL ARCHITECTURE.
At the core of its land, many rural villages allow to retrieve an human dimension far from the biggest metropolis’s frenzy.
Villages, characterized by pebbly roads, court-yard houses done with raw mud bricks, enriched by wrought iron balconies and wooden doors, which have kept intact the magic of the hotbeds.

THE MEDIO CAMPIDANO IS HANDICRAFT: THE ANCIENT PROFESSIONS.
The cutlery, the ceramic, the wood and stone carving: in the Medio Campidano skilled hands for needs, have patiently moulded, forged, shaped, carved, weaved simplex materials and transformed into precious handiworks used in the
everyday life.
